These are states that have been won by one of the two presidential candidates of the United States – Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris, according to predictions by the Associated Press and major American television stations (ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox News).
In parentheses are the number of Electoral College votes won by each candidate, overall and by state. Each state has a different number of votes, depending on its population. In almost all states (except two), the winner wins all the votes. To win an election, a candidate must collect 270 votes.
BTA awards winning candidates based on predictions from at least two major US broadcasters or AP and one major US broadcaster. Here You can see the specifics of the work of American news agencies and television stations on election night and how they announce who the winner of a particular race is.
