The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, announced in a publication in “X” that she had a “very good” telephone conversation with newly elected US President Donald Trump, Reuters reported.
The two discussed issues related to defense and Ukraine, trade and energy.
“I look forward to strengthening EU-US relations and working together to overcome geopolitical challenges,” Von der Leyen wrote.
