Marcelo Ramos de Souza, 37 years old, was caught red-handed on Thursday (10), for the attempted murder of a 60-year-old businessman, in Humaitá, in the interior of Amazonas.
According to delegate Torquato Mozer, head of DIP Humaitá, Marcelo was hired by a man, who was also a businessman, to kill the old man. Both are entrepreneurs in the refrigeration industry.
“The motivation for the crime was the victim's involvement in closing the perpetrator's family's refrigerator, causing losses of around 2 million reais,” said the delegation.
According to the delegation, the police team received a report about the crime and went to the place where it was planned to kill the businessman, where they found Marcelo before he could commit the crime. A firearm intended to be used to commit the crime was confiscated from him.
Marcelo Ramos de Souza will be charged with attempted murder and illegal possession of a firearm, accessory or ammunition, permitted for use and will be available in court.
