Audi, coming off a record year for U.S. sales, is teaming up with retail giant Costco to help drive sales further as the spring selling season gets underway.
Costco Auto Program’s newest round of limited-time vehicle specials are highest on some of the German luxury brand’s electric vehicles and sedans.
In order to get the incentives — $1,500, $2,000 or $3,000 off a vehicle — Costco members as of Feb. 29 have to register for a certificate from March 1 to April 30.
Costco Auto Program said members must bring the certificate to any Audi dealership in the U.S. and take delivery by May 15. Vehicles can be purchased or leased.
New 2023 or 2024 Audi nameplates eligible for the $1,500 incentive include the A3, A4, Q3, Q4 E-tron and Q5.
The $2,000 incentive is available on the A6 and Q7 as well as the Q8 E-tron, among other vehicles.
The highest incentive, $3,000, is available on the A8 and S8 large sedans as well as the E-tron GT and RS E-tron GT.
Costco Auto Program said the discounts can be combined with “all available incentives for which the member qualifies.”
Audi’s U.S. incentives more than doubled to $7,057 per vehicle in February, while brand sales have fallen 20 percent to 27,045 so far in 2024, Motor Intelligence estimates. The company, part of Volkswagen Group, reports U.S. sales quarterly.
Costco Auto Program said the Q5 midsize crossover is the most popular Audi model available through the program, without specifying numbers. It said the Q5 continues to be the most requested Audi so far in 2024.
The Audi promotion is the only special Costco Auto Program is running at the moment, said a company spokesperson, who noted a similar program with Cadillac wrapped up at the end of February.
