At the University of Barcelona, polling stations stand next to tents in defense of Gaza

The polling station in the historic building of the University of Barcelona opened without incident at 9:14 am on Sunday, while the camp against Israel's war in Gaza, set up last Monday, continues in the monastery.

The delay was due to a logistical issue unrelated to the protest. The shops are located in the monastery, while the 12 polling stations are located in the lobby of the building.

Two visual barriers have been placed at two doors that are normally closed on election day, connecting the lobby with the space where the young people are installed. Both the students and the university itself have explained that both uses of the building are compatible this Sunday.
