Lupin shares up 0.88% as Sensex rises

Shares of Lupin Ltd. gained 0.88 per cent to Rs 1292.2 in Friday’s session as of 11:12AM (IST) even as the equity benchmark Sensex traded 460.13 points higher at 67448.57.

Earlier in the day, the stock witnessed a start to the session. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 1296.3 and a 52-week low of Rs 628.1 on NSE. Around 27642 shares changed hands on the counter till 11:12AM (IST).

The stock opened at Rs 1280.9 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 1296.3 and Rs 1275.95 during the session so far. The scrip quoted a price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of 44.32, earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 29.24 and price to book value (PB) of 2.36, while the return on equity (ROE) stood at Rs 3.49.

Promoter/ FII Holding
The promoters held 47.06 per cent stake in the company as of December 01, while FII and MF ownerships stood at 14.99 per cent and 16.71 per cent, respectively.

Key Financials
With a market capitalisation of Rs 59001.32 crore, the company operates in the Pharma – Indian industry. For the quarter ended 30-Sep-2023, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 5078.96 crore, up 5.0 per cent from the previous quarter?s Rs 4836.89 crore and up 22.08 per cent from the same quarter a year ago. The company reported net profit of Rs 489.47 crore for the latest quarter, up 277.3 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.

Technical Indicators
The relative strength index (RSI) of the stock stands at 73.17. The RSI oscillates between zero and 100. Traditionally, it is considered overbought condition when the RSI value is above 70 and oversold condition when it is below 30.
