Carol Vorderman caused a stir after she appeared on two shows on Monday night including The Masked Singer UK and The Wheel.
Viewers took to Twitter, formerly X, and addressed the 63-year-old’s appearance on both ITV and BBC as they all issued the same complaint with many surprised to see the presenter on more than one show this evening.
@PeteOfTheNorth tweeted: “Have I literally tuned out of Carol Vorderman on BBC’s The Wheel to ITV’s Masked Singer? Booked and Busy Vorders! #MaskedSingerUK.”
@Josh echoed: “Carol Vorderman appearing on two channels at once tonight, real worker #MaskedSingerUK #TheWheel.”
@Jimmytherat said: “Everytime I’ve looked at the TV tonight, Carol Vorderman is on it.”
“Carol Vorderman on the wheel Christmas special & Christmas masked singer on the exact same time on telly tonight. Have they only got 15 celebs that they recycle on telly these days?” @tom wrote.
But others shared their delight at seeing the Countdown legend on their screens more than once tonight as @janeastra penned: “Carol Vorderman – she’s a star – love that woman !! #MaskedSingerUK.”
@jonconnell commented: “Reindeer was great Christmas Day fun. Have to lock in the living legend that is Carol Vorderman @carolvorders.”
Despite Carol’s best efforts dressed as a reindeer for the festive version of The Masked Singer, she lost out to television chef Ainsley Harriott – who sang as a partridge in a pear tree.
Both shows including The Masked Singer UK and Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel are both pre-recorded shows and air over Christmas.
Carol took to Instagram tonight and penned: “OMG did you guess right? Ha. I absolutely loved being Reindeer. Soooooo cute. Sorry I don’t sing properly but it’s Christmas!!!!!! Christmas Carol and happy days for a 63 year old…. That outfit was so hot, and I could hardly see out of the gap in Reindeer’s mouth but oh it was worth it. Happy Christmas peeps xxxxx @maskedsingeruk.”
Social media users rushed to the comment section, as one person penned: “Your speaking voice gave you away. Well done, Carol. You were very entertaining!”
Another wrote: “The ultimate moment on tv this Christmas was this reveal.”
A third commented: “You were robbed,” while another added: “I knew it was you!!! You were amazing.”
