Bobby Davro is recovering from a minor stroke after collapsing at a show.
The former EastEnders star, 65, received a standing ovation at his recent gig and just moments, when he came off the stage, suffered what he has described as a “funny turn” at the Coulsdon Comedy club, South London, last Thursday night.
The comic has been told to rest over the next few weeks but is expected to return to the stage on February 4.
A source told The Sun: “His condition has greatly improved and he’s now resting at home.
“Clearly he’s feeling much better as Bobby described his proximity to the hospital and the excellent care he received there as ‘a real stroke of luck’.”
Express.co.uk approached Bobby Davro’s representatives for comment.
The health scare comes after it was reported that Bobby was “taken unwell” during his performance earlier this week.
The TV favourite — who rose to fame in the 1980s — shared his grief last year after his fiancée Vicky Wright, 63, died of pancreatic cancer.
At the time, he told the same publication how he proposed to her the day before she started chemotherapy.
He said: “I have to forgive the universe for taking her away from me, but the engagement was one of the best days of her life.”
Bobby took to Twitter, also known as X, and addressed his tragic loss as he was inundated with support from fans.
He penned: “It’s been just over a week since my beautiful [Vicky] left this world and its only now I feel strong enough to share my feelings.
“I want to thank everyone for their support and expressions of love and kindness you have shown me and Vicky’s family and loved ones.”
The devastated star continued: “To think we will never hear her voice, to hear laughter, look into her beautiful eyes, see her smile, to hold her and to kiss her is devastating and so incredibly painful.
“She will be in my thoughts and in my heart forever. She was my Schluffe and I loved her and always will.”
