Gladiators star Giant admits to ‘taking dangerous steroids’ in YouTube video

Gladiators star Giant has reportedly admitted to using “dangerous steroids” up until 2022 in a YouTube video. The classic 90s game show returned to our screens this month and is hosted by father and son duo, Bradley and Barney Walsh.

One of its newest stars, Jamie Christian-Johal, nicknamed Giant, has reportedly confessed to using “muscle-boosting Class C drugs” in an online video. According to The Sun, the ex-fireman boasts of “phenomenal gains” and one YouTube video is titled: “Take this and you get big.”

An insider who spoke to the outlet said: “This is a nightmare for the BBC. It’s a family show and they’ve somehow not spotted this material from its biggest star. Fans could find his advice for taking steroids with just a simple Google search of his name.”

Express.co.uk have contacted BBC and a representative of Jamie Christian-Johal (Giant) for comment. The rebooted show launched last weekend and attracted 6.4 million viewers.

The 37-year-old told the aforementioned publication that he had “come off them [steroids] late in 2022.” He said: “I stopped competing as a bodybuilder in October 2022 and responsibly came off steroids.
