Good Morning Britain viewers say the same thing as they blast ‘car crash interview’

ITV viewers have slammed Good Morning Britain after Green Party co-leader Carla Denyer appeared on the show. Richard Madeley and Charlotte Hawkins fronted the daytime programme on Thursday.

During her interview, Denyer was asked about how the Green Party would tackle big issues like immigration and the economy on a national level ahead of the next general election.

Appearing via a video link from Bristol, she emphasised that people “would be surprised” and said that it’s not just about the environment that they focus on, but they invest in local and national services like the NHS.

However, viewers were left divided by the segment and one even labelled it a “car crash.” One person commented: “Comedy gold on @GMB this morning with @carla_denyer Co leader of @TheGreenParty they really do live on a different planet. #clueless.”

Another went on: “Car crash interview on R4,” whilst another person similarly said: “Mickey Mouse party living in cloud cuckoo land.” (sic)

“When I hear the greens YAWN Zzzzzzzzzzzzz,” a fourth went on.

“Laugh a minute stuff,” a fifth added while a sixth said: “A wasted vote… I applaud their tenacity but they’ve not got a hope in hell. 1 trick pony.”

However, not everyone shared the same views as one viewer praised: “Fantastic to finally see a Green on #GMB . Such a rare event and indeed rare to see a politician talking sense. Well done @carla_denyer.”

Good Morning Britain airs daily on ITV and ITVX.
