Good Morning Britain’s Laura Tobin goes missing after ‘struggling’ on air

Good Morning Britain’s Laura Tobin seemed to be a no-show on Tuesday morning after she was struggling the day before. The weather presenter usually gives ITV viewers the forecast for the day. However, she was replaced by Alex Beresford in the latest instalment.

At the beginning of the week, host Richard Madeley pointed out that Laura kept changing height every time she was informing people about the weather. Holding up one of her green heels, she confessed: “I’m being very dramatic, I’ve hurt my big toe. So, I actually can’t bend the big toe!”

Demonstrating how she’d been coping with the pain, Laura showed the camera that she had been resting her foot on the shoe instead of wearing them. Admitting she took her shoe off mid-broadcast to stand flat, Laura told Richard she didn’t want to draw attention to it.

Laughing, he replied: “But, I did. We can all have a bet to see if she’ll be tall or short on the next one!”. Although Laura seemed to be in good spirits on Monday, the meteorologist was missing from the show the following day.

There was no mention of her absence during the episode as Alex took over from her regular spot. On Laura’s social media, she shared a behind-the-scenes snap of her on the programme showing her followers an Instagram vs reality comparison.

For the ‘Instagram’ shot, the 42-year-old stood up in her heels, posing in front of the ITV weather screen.

However, in the ‘reality’ snap, Laura rested her foot as she sat by her desk wearing comfy slippers with the captioned #poorlytoe.

Later on in the day, Laura gave her followers an insight into her whereabouts as she captured her train journey.

Boarding from Kings Cross, the ITV star revealed she’d be spending the next six hours on a train.

Laura shared snippets of the changing weather she witnessed as she made her way through the North Midlands, Newcastle and Edinburgh,

Revealing her final destination, Laura posed with a sign that told her followers she was in Glasgow.

However, Laura has kept her reasoning for heading to Scotland tight-lipped.

Despite her toe injury, on Monday, viewers thought the 42-year-old looked stunning as many complimented her outfit.
