Denise Welch has hit out at the “bizarre” behaviour displayed by Faithful members of the group on BBC One’s The Traitors following last night’s latest round table. The Loose Women star took to social media to slam the players’ methodology for working out who the Traitors were among them.
ITV star Denise, 65, has been watching along in frustration as the Faithful members continue to make misplaced accusations at one another. Tweeting about the series during the show last night, she questioned the logic of their decision-making.
On X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, she told her 557,300 followers: “Why in Traitors do they still say ‘it can’t be him because he’s such a great guy’!!! Like you can choose to be a Traitor!! Bizarre.” (sic)
It comes after several people were accused of being Traitors during last night’s banishment. While Ash, who is a Traitor, received the most number of votes after nearly being banished the night before, her fellow Traitor Paul was also rumbled by Jaz.
However, Jaz wasn’t able to convince his fellow Faithful of Paul’s guilt, as the salesman put on a convincingly tearful performance as a father missing his children. Meg also narrowly avoided the firing line after a few players accused her of being “too quiet” at the round table.
Tonight, fans will get to see how everyone in the house reacted after successfully banishing their first Traitor, Ash.
The banishment proved to be especially brutal last night, as Ash’s fellow Traitors Paul, Harry and Miles all voted for her.
Taking to the comments section, Denise’s followers weighed in on the events of last night’s episode.
Agreeing with Denise, Laura penned with laughing emojis: “Yeh but nice people don’t lie apparently #notevenforafewgrand.” (sic)
“Literally they’re missing the whole point !!!” Meg concurred, as Mary added: “YESSSSS!! THIS!!!!” (sic)
“Exactly! Did none of them watch the first series…?!” Nick commented, while Lesley told the soap star: “You’d make a great traitor, ar Den x.” (sic)
The Traitors continues tonight at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
