Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly returned to host Saturday Night Takeaway and the Geordie duo kicked off the show with the fun-filled game Spot the Difference – where an unsuspecting audience member is shocked to find a celebrity in their home.
But there is a twist – their particulars have been rearranged and the audience member is tasked with figuring out what has been moved in a bid to win some cash.
Viewers were left sobbing during tonight’s episode when Jill from Birkenhead was surprised when they showed her living room on the big screen via video link from inside the ITV studios.
After she secured £300 during the game Ant and Dec revealed they had another surprise which left her breaking down in tears.
Standing in her living room was her daughter, whom she had not seen in person for five years, as well as her son-in-law and granddaughter whom she had never met in person.
But it did not stop there as Dec said: “Actually Jill I’ve got some news for you. You don’t actually have to wait until you’re back in Birkenhead because they are not actually in Birkenhead.
“And neither is your living room. It’s all here tonight.”
Jill covered her mouth as she could be seen visibly trembling as her daughter, granddaughter and son-in-law walked out onto the stage which was met with loud applause.
The audience member could not contain her emotions as she broke down in tears.
Viewers took to X, formerly Twitter, as they all said the same thing, adding they too were in tears.
