Jeremy Clarkson ‘consumed with fear’ about girlfriend Lisa Hogan’s intentions on birthday

Jeremy Clarkson has revealed he was left “consumed with fear” after worrying about where girlfriend Lisa Hogan was taking him for his birthday. The 64-year-old celebrated his birthday on Thursday and was treated to a day out by his other half but was concerned about where they were going.

Writing in his The Sun column, the Clarkson’s Farm star penned: “It was my birthday this week and my girlfriend Lisa said she’d booked ‘somewhere nice’. It all sounded lovely, but as we plunged further and further into the Cotswolds, and she still wouldn’t tell me where we were going, I became consumed with a fear that she was taking me to a care home.

“She didn’t. But the day is coming…,” he joked as he concluded his comments about Lisa. Jeremy began dating the Irish actress and screenplay writer back in 2017 and she features on his Prime Video show with him.

Despite being apprehensive about where Lisa was taking him, Jeremy was treated to a lavish gift for his special day. The Dublin-born star took to Instagram to show off what she had arranged for her beau.

She posted a video of a parked Lamborghini in which Jeremy could be seen skulking in the background. As she moved the camera to show the car at different angles, she explained off-camera it was his gift.

“You’re very difficult to buy for your birthday so I got you a Lamborghini – for a week,” she revealed.

“Well actually it’s a press car but you can drive it for a week. What a great present for a week!” she exclaimed.

Her 233,000 Instagram followers were loving the gift and took to the comments to share their thoughts.

One person wrote: “A Lamborghini for a week sounds like a perfect present to me.” (sic)

Somebody else commented: “Zero things wrong with that gift! Well done!,” while another gushed: “What a lady you are, amazing and perfect present for Jeremy.”

A fourth penned: “The most prominent motoring journalist *in the world* and can have any press car he wants at any time (except a Tesla). I think this is awesome.”

While a fifth joked: “No Lisa, you got yourself a Lambo AND a chauffeur, for a week,” (sic) followed by a laughing emoji.

Jeremy and Lisa will feature on the third series of Clarkson’s Farm which will premiere on Prime Video next month.
