Clarkson’s Farm star Jeremy Clarkson received a hugely generous birthday gift from girlfriend Lisa Hogan – for a week. The Dublin-born star took to Instagram to show off what she had arranged for her beau.
She posted a video of a parked Lamborghini in which Jeremy could be seen skulking in the background. As she moved the camera to show the car at different angles, she explained off-camera it was his gift.
“You’re very difficult to buy for your birthday so I got you a Lamborghini – for a week,” she revealed. “Well actually it’s a press car but you can drive it for a week. What a great present for a week!” she exclaimed.
Her 233,000 followers were loving the gift and took to the comments to share their thoughts. @issnizz wrote: “A Lamborghini for a week sounds like a perfect present to me.” (sic)
@joshua.dufresne commented: “Zero things wrong with that gift! Well done!” @melanie.killer gushed: “What a lady you are, amazing and perfect present for Jeremy.”
@voltage_rated_matt gushed: “The most prominent motoring journalist *in the world* and can have any press car he wants at any time (except a Tesla). I think this is awesome.”
@garethsoye joked: “It was my 50th a few weeks ago, I need to have a serious word with my girlfriend!”
Meanwhile @prof_m_beaker joked: “No Lisa, you got yourself a Lambo AND a chauffeur, for a week,” (sic) followed by a laughing emoji.
Jeremy celebrated his 64th birthday on April 11, just weeks before his hit Prime Video show Clarkson’s Farm is due to return.
The show follows his efforts to turn his Diddly Squat Farm into a profitable enterprise, however, he recently admitted that “everything that could go wrong has gone wrong.”
His attempts at pig farming ended in tragedy. “I reckoned the pigs would provide something that’s sadly lacking in farming today: a bit of genuine happiness,” he said. “Instead, it was almost unbelievably sad. We had a catastrophically high level of deaths.”
While the piglets’ demise had nothing to do with Jeremy or his team, it was yet another setback for the TV star. He has also fallen foul of regulations at every turn. He has been trying unsuccessfully to extend the car park in the Diddly Squat farm shop as well as opening a restaurant on the land.
Fans will be able to follow all the latest dramas when the show returns next month.
Clarkson’s Farm series one and two are available to watch on Prime Video.
