Christine Lampard was close to tears while hosting Loose Women.
The TV star, 44, was joined on Monday’s panel with fellow co-stars Brenda Edwards, 54, Judi Love, 43, and Jane Moore, 61, as they chatted about attending their children’s annual Christmas plays.
The ITV favourite, who shares two children with husband Frank Lampard, admitted the school nativity play has reduced her tears over the years as she struggled to contain her emotions during today’s offering.
Christine remarked: “Oh it’s just so lovely. It makes me so emotional.
“Honestly, I get so emotional,” the presenter added as she struggled to hold back her tears on the ITV daytime show.
But panel member, Brenda looked at her co-star with an odd expession etched on her face as she seemed confused by the Loose Women host’s reaction to nativity plays.
“What?” Christine squealed.
Brenda replied: “You look like you’re really about to break down.”
Christine went on: “I just think it’s the cutest thing seeing them up there. My little girl will not sing. She is so shy.”
It comes as the question, “Are school nativity plays outdated?” was posed to the panel who all readily agreed it was an important way to mark Christmas.
Christine continued: “I don’t think they should disappear. Whatever form they are. It doesn’t have to be the old fashioned nativity but the little Christmas plays are cute aren’t they?” with members in the audience cheering “yes” in agreement with the host.
Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12.30pm
