Piers Morgan suggests Vladimir Putin could have been Person of The Year over Taylor Swift

Swift’s crowning is a departure for the publication, which usually names politicians or business leaders.

However, Morgan praised the Blank Space hitmaker for her incredible achievements in the music industry, as well as being an “incredibly savvy” businesswoman and “fantastic” role model for young girls.

“If you had a young daughter you would love for her to be a Swiftie because she represents all that’s wholesome and good about the world,” he said.

The TV host added in his conversation with TalkTV contributor Esther Krakue and comedian James Barr: “She’s also turned out to be an incredibly savvy businesswoman. I mean she’s generating vast amounts of cash.”

Swift’s latest accolade came after her estimated billion-dollar Eras Tour and the release of 1989 (Taylor’s Version).

Time reporter Sam Jacob wrote: “Swift is the rare person who is both the writer and hero of her own story. Her path is untraveled, something she’s known for some time.”

“This is the proudest and happiest I’ve ever felt, and the most creatively fulfilled and free I’ve ever been,” Swift told Time.

“Ultimately, we can convolute it all we want, or try to overcomplicate it, but there’s only one question: Are you not entertained?”

“Every year contains light and dark; 2023 was a year with significant shares of darkness,” Jacob writes. “In a divided world, where too many institutions are failing, Taylor Swift found a way to transcend borders and be a source of light.”
