The Chase viewers were left unimpressed and annoyed during the latest episode of the ITV quiz show after feeling the Final Chase questions were “too easy” for the Chaser.
Taking on Mark “The Beast” Labbett to win a life-changing sum of money were contestants Brendan, Matthew, Ruby and Joann.
Each contestant flew through their cash builder round with Brendan getting £4,000, Matthew £6,000, Ruby £3,000 and Joann £91,000.
The team managed to bank £100,000 in their bank and worked as a team to get 18 steps infront of the Chaser.
However, as much as they tried, Mark was on top form and only got one question wrong, with the team being unable to push him back.
Viewers of the ITV series felt as if the game had been “rigged” due to the easy questions Mark was getting compared to theirs.
Taking to their X accounts, formerly known as Twitter, to complain about the type of questions in both sets A and B.
The contestants were getting questions such as: “The Cumbrian Coast railway line runs inland in what city?”
It left the contestants stumped for a moment but luckily it was Joann who came in with the correct answer of Carlise.
Mark, however, was getting questions such as: “How many full years are there in 30 months”, to which he answered correctly.
User @hannahbarkerx asked: “Why do the chasers get easier questions??? #thechase.”
Richard Barrow noted: “When TV bosses decide that’s just too much money for anyone to win. #TheChase #fixed.”
@Josh73426623 expressed: “The Chase is a joke. Professional quizzers getting asked the most ridiculous questions that by kids could guess. #thechase.”
@1969johnson1969 commented: “#thechase is a complete fix when there is big money.”
@joeblog87100720 added: “Strange how the Chasers questions were so much easier when there’s 100 grand at stake #TheChase.”
@RFox55_ said: “This is so rigged it’s unbelievable. #TheChase.” (sic)
But not all viewers were unimpressed as @foxylady710 praised: “Wow! @MarkLabbett was just too good!
“Really thought he’d know the banoffee pie question though lol @ITVChase #thechase.” (sic)
