Tina Malone ‘broken’ as she recalls late husband’s final hours before he died

A grieving Tina Malone has recalled her husband Paul Chase’s final hours before he tragically died one month ago. The 61-year-old shared the heartbreaking news of Paul’s passing on March 13 with a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter.

She wrote: “It’s with total heartbreak I write this my husband Paul Chase Malone passed away this morning we are totally devastated.” (sic) Now the Shameless actress has remembered her last moments with her other half as she penned: “Four weeks ago at 4pm today my hubby made scrambled eggs, bacon, beans, sausages for flame, kissed me and said see you later….”

“10 hours later he was dead, I am broken, so bereft,” she emotionally wrote on the social media platform.” Tina’s loyal followers flocked to the comments section to attempt to help her with their kind words.

One X user said: “Tina, we don’t know each other but I lost the love of my life to cancer two years ago and the hurt never goes away but as time goes on we learn to live another way.

“They say, grief is the price we pay for love. It’s a journey that’s for sure not an easy one. Bless you.” Somebody else commented: “I’m so sorry. I lost my husband suddenly and unexpectedly last year. The shock of it is indescribable. Hopefully given time, the pain will ease.”

While another added: “I am so sorry. I have seen lots of pictures of you together and you looked so happy. Hope you have support x.”

The Brookside star married late husband Paul in 2010, with the pair later announcing their separation in 2019. However, the couple reconciled in February 2020.

Tina and Paul were married for over a decade, with the soap star later confirming that their “love never went away” during their brief split.

Paul is survived by Tina and their nine-year-old daughter Flame, who the actress welcomed into the world at the age of 50.

The Celebrity Big Brother star also has a grown-up daughter from her previous relationship named Danielle, who is in her 30s.

Speaking to Closer magazine a few years ago, Tina opened up about how she and Paul had rescued their relationship.

The Channel 4 star said: “The love never went away, we’re working on things now, our problems were compounded by depression but I learned that in tough times you have to pull together and not apart.”

Last year, she told the same publication: “Paul and I still have so much passion, after 13 years you know each other so well. He still gives me butterflies!,” she gushed.
