Singer Carol Decker has expressed her frustration after being charged £51.30 for four drinks and a bowl of nuts while visiting a bar. The 66-year-old took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share her thoughts about the situation with her 54,000 followers.
The musician shared a receipt of the items she purchased: four drinks and some almonds. Clearly frustrated by the amount she paid, Carol expressed: “Two large glasses of Rose and two pints of lager & a VERY small bowl of nuts £51.30.
“Two rounds of drinks and some f******g nuts!! This is actually f*****g nuts!!! @hughosmond @CoppaClub.”
Carol’s post comes after underwent colon surgery in September last year as a team of surgeons in Oxford operated on her for a whopping three hours and 40 minutes.
After her big operation, the 1980s star revealed she was in recovery mode as she posted a selfie of herself in a hospital gown and with a tube attached to her nostrils. She penned on social media: “I just had colon surgery as had something nasty growing up there.
“But thankfully benign and I wanted to give a shout-out to the fantastic colorectal team here at the Churchill Hospital headed by Prof Cunningham in Oxford.
“I could not be in better hands. We hear often how the NHS doesn’t work. Let me tell you here it absolutely does #angels #caring #love #givingthanks I’m recovering well.”
The following day, the performer shared another update as she thanked the NHS and explained: “Day 2 Recovering well from my colon surgery just knackered from the GA it was a long op.
“3hrs 40 mins huge shout out to the wonderful colorectal team at The Churchill hospital.
“Oxford headed up by Prof Chris Cunningham I have had the best care thank you @NHS’.”
Carol’s fans rushed to the comments section to wish her a speedy recovery, after she was diagnosed with osteoporosis in 2015.
One fan penned: “So very thankful for you that it was benign, such a trooper for doing your festivals during what must have been a worrying time, Sending you healing thoughts and best wishes for a speedy recovery.”
Another beloved fan of Carol’s wrote: “‘All the best for a quick and comfortable recovery.”
While a third penned: “Get well soon Carol, glad the surgery went well.”
