Vanessa Feltz’s ex-partner shut down claims about their relationship admitting it was never about money.
In a candid new interview with former Celebs Go Dating star Ryan-Mark Parsons, Ben Ofoedu opened up about his relationship with the TV personality.
The former couple, who had a 10-year age gap, went their separate ways after the TalkTV presenter, 61, dumped the Phats and Small star, 51, after finding out he’d been unfaithful multiple times across their 16-year relationship, despite his denial that he is a serial cheat.
Ryan-Mark commented: “Now [Vanessa] is reportedly worth £38million and according to online sources you’re worth £100,000.”
Ben interjected: “I’m worth a bit more than that mate.”
“Would you say, therefore the relationship was about money?” the host quizzed further.
The Phats and Small singer replied: “I don’t think the [relationship] was about money. I do think money had a part to play. It wasn’t about money.”
He cheekily added: “I’m definitely worth more than £100,000.”
Ben’s comments come as the singer has embarked on a new relationship with girlfriend Precious Muir and they hit the red carpet together at the special performance of Back To The Future in the West End last week.
Vanessa previously opened up on This Morning about the difficulty of dating again following the breakdown of her relationship. She said: “I think dating is damn difficult. I’ve not done it for 17 years.
“I wouldn’t sit here and pretend it’s a breeze and a blast. When it’s not going well it’s like wading through treacle. But when you meet someone it can be easy it can be bliss. It can be great. It’s just a numbers game isn’t it… I have been a rotton picker, I haven’t been good at picking. I thought the agents must be able to do better than I can, they can’t do any worse.”
The popular presenter recently went looking for love on the series Celebs Go Dating.
