“A hotel was targeted in the city. Currently, two people are injured and one person is under the rubble,” wrote the head of the Donetsk region, Vadym Filashkin, on Telegram.
“The three victims are journalists, citizens of Ukraine, the United States and the United Kingdom,” he added, without specifying which of them were injured or who had gone missing.
The “midnight” attack.
The attack, which damaged the hotel and a neighboring building, took place “in the middle of the night,” Vadym Filachkine continued. “Police and emergency personnel are working on the scene. The debris is being cleared and rescue operations are underway,” he added.
The last major city in Donbass under Ukrainian control, Kramatorsk is located about twenty kilometers west of the front line.
