A 17-year-old high school student was arrested and taken into police custody on Thursday, September 12, after threatening a teacher at his school in Rezé, near Nantes, in Loire-Atlantique, according to information from BFMTV.
The incident dates back to Wednesday when the teacher allegedly caught him simulating a gunshot during an assignment that featured an Islamic flag, according to the Sunday paper. That same evening, he posted death threats on the Telegram social network, claiming he wanted to stab the teacher.

During a search of his home, investigators discovered two knives and a Daesh flag. According to the Academy of Nantes, the student was not identified as radicalized by National Education prior to this incident.
