King Charles ‘never closed door’ on Prince Harry as he hopes for William reconciliation

Prince Harry could reunite with King Charles very soon as he gears up for an imminent visit to the UK, as a royal commentator claims the King “never closed the door on his son”.

The Duke of Sussex has had a strained relationship with the other members of the Royal Family ever since he departed from his royal duties and moved to the US with Meghan Markle in 2020.

Since then, the Duke made a series of claims against the Royal Family in a high-profile interview with Oprah Winfrey and in his Netflix docuseries with Meghan, as well as in his tell-all memoir, Spare.

But a royal commentator has now claimed Harry could not only reuinte with his father, but that he could also play a key role in mending his relationship with Prince William.

Richard Fitzwilliams said the King is looking to reconcile things between his sons, after reports that William and Princess Kate have asked Harry to bring his children on his next UK visit.

He told GB News: “The rift is very deep, as we all know the Sussexes for four years have attacked the Royal Family and William is naturally suspicious because he doesn’t trust Harry.

“It is possible that since King Charles has never closed the door, since they’re both his sons and since two senior members of the Royal Family are seriously ill, this presents an entirely new scenario. A new bridge.”

Prince Harry is due to return to the UK for a May 8 ceremony at St. Paul’s Cathedral, celebrating the 10-year anniversiary of the Invictus Games – which he helped co-found.

Fitzwilliams said that, while it was “very important” work, it will unfortunately be “overshadowed” by the rumours about whether Meghan will be there, and whether he will reuinte with King Charles.

He said: “It is a very important anniversary because service of Thanksgiving is being held, to celebrate 10 years of the Invictus Games and this of course was a remarkable thing that Harry founded.

“One of the problems is that it will be overshadowed by whether Meghan will be there; I would think not. And then again as to whether or not he will see his father will King Charles play a role in peacemaking?”

Previously, it was reported that Prince William denied a meeting with Prince Harry while he was in the UK for a 45-minute visit with King Charles after learning of his cancer diagnosis.
