King Charles’s heartbreak after lifelong friend Ian Farquhar found dead at home

King Charles’s longtime friend Ian Farquhar was found dead at home by a carer, an inquest has revealed.

The 78-year-old huntsman, who also served as the Queen Mother’s equerry, died from postural asphyxia on March 6, spelling heartbreak for the monarch.

Wiltshire Police confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Brigadier Andrew Parker Bowles, Queen Camilla’s first husband, told Daily Mail diarist Richard Eden the situation was “very sad” and Mr Farquhar had been in poor health for the past few months.
