The manager of the gas station where Samuel G., the main suspect in Lina's disappearance, committed three gas thefts spoke to RTL.
“We have photos of the vehicle, Ford Puma, registered with German plates.” Three times, the main suspect in the case of Lina's disappearance, Samuel G., filled up at a gas station without paying in Besançon (Doubs). Images revealed by our colleagues from Republican East allow identification of the man with the stolen Ford Puma in which the teenager's DNA was found.
“It's a shock”
The manager of this gas station, who filed a complaint from the first theft on August 25, 2023, a few weeks before Lina's disappearance, spoke on his microphone RTL. “We immediately alerted the gendarmerie services who launched an active search,” he says. When the Ford Puma reappeared on September 21, the man alerted the police directly. Searches to find this person were unsuccessful.
Two days later, Lina disappeared 200 km away in Bas-Rhin. “It's a shock to know that this person drove past our house,” admits the manager, before explaining: “We wouldn't have tried to stop the vehicle either, but to us, it was just a person stealing fuel.”
Finally, on December 19, the car returned for a third time but managed to escape despite the intervention of an employee. A month later, in January 2024, the car will be impounded. Samuel G. committed suicide on July 10, when the same vehicle was impounded by case investigators. The search to find Lina has continued using Ford's GPS, but so far has proved unsuccessful.
