On this day in history, December 13, 1989, pop star Taylor Swift is born in Pennsylvania

Taylor Swift, whose extraordinary childhood gift for crafting catchy country hits rocketed her into a galaxy inhabited by the world’s brightest pop stars, was born in West Reading, Pennsylvania, on this day in history, Dec. 13, 1989.

“Sister Tay may be the last true rock star on the planet,” Rolling Stone Magazine enthused last October, reflecting the passion of her fans all over the world while publishing a lengthy treatise ranking all 229 of her songs from worst to first.

“All Too Well,” from Swift’s 2012 album “Red,” topped Rolling Stone’s list.

Many fans were left without diva ducats.

“It’s truly amazing that 2.4 million people got tickets,” Swift said in response to the fiasco on Instagram.

“She was dating a senior about to head off to college and wanted to capture everything about her that would remind him of Swift in a song. Her favorite country artist immediately came to mind.”

Swift quickly parlayed the song into a gig as the opening act for McGraw and his wife Faith Hill, a hit-making country music power couple.

Swift paired her artistic talent with all-American girl-next-door blonde beauty.

Her celebrity soon swept her far beyond that of her youthful idols.
