An association specializing in prevention around disability and sports launched an appeal on social media after the theft of its trailer. The means of transport, which cost almost 5,000 euros, allowed them to transport adequate equipment.
“In one night, there was nothing left,” laments the president of the disabled sports committee of Saint-Herblain (Loire-Altantique) for France Blue. Between August 17 and 18, 2024, the trailer of this association specialized in prevention around disability and sports was stolen. A theft worth 5,000 euros. “I worked for three years to finance it,” the president protests.
Without this means of transport, the association can no longer transport adapted equipment, such as wheelchairs or facilities that facilitate movement within educational units. Therefore, its projects are suspended until further notice.
A call on social media
An investigation has been opened to find the perpetrators of the theft. On Monday morning, association members noticed that the gate had been forced. No other vehicles were stolen apart from the trailer.
The president of the association also launched an appeal on social media on Thursday to seek help from the city's residents. “If anyone admits [la remorque]we hope to find it”, pleads the president of the association.
