From September 1, more than a million French people will be able to benefit from a monthly pension increase. This increase could vary between 50 and 60 euros.

From September 1, 1.1 million pensioners will see their pension increase by 56 euros per month on average, or 672 euros per year. This revaluation concerns the most modest pensions and was planned as part of the pension reform adopted in 2023.

600,000 pensioners had already benefited from a boost in the autumn of 2023, as part of the pension reform. It provided for an increase in small pensions, up to 100 euros per month. From now on there will be 1.8 million to benefit from it until the end of the summer.

Who will be able to benefit from it?

Only people who have had an uninterrupted career and who have contributed at least 120 quarters with remuneration close to the minimum wage are targeted. Therefore, he must have completed a full career and left on full salary. To benefit from the increase, you must receive a basic pension of less than 847 euros and a total pension of less than 1,352 euros.

The increase is retroactive and will be renewed and reevaluated each year on January 1.
