Princess Kate ‘ignored Meghan Markle’s cries for help’ and ‘shivers’ when she’s mentioned

Royal author Omid Scobie has made a number of astonishing claims in a new book, including the accusation that Princess Kate was “cold” and “ignored Meghan’s [Markle] cries for help”.

In the new book titled ‘Endgame’, Mr Scobie also claimed that Kate “shivers” whenever Meghan’s name is said.

He added that the Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Sussex have not spoken since 2019.

Mr Scobie says that Kate never wanted to be friends with Meghan and had branded her sister-in-law a “Stepford-like royal wife” and the monarchy’s “last shiny thing for many years to come.”

The author continued: “At the very least the institution ignored Meghan when she was in pain. It’s a dismal record, and with William now openly claiming his mother was essentially too paranoid to speak the truth, it proves the institution still operates under the principle that women not born into the family are, ultimately, disposable.”

One former palace aide told Mr Scobie Meghan was regarded as being difficult “because she had opinions”.

He wrote: “They wanted Meghan to just go with everything that was suggested and not create any additional work.

“It was a combination of her not conforming with how women marrying into the family are expected to behave and certain individuals just being lazy.”

This comment is one of the many allegations made in the new book.

Mr Scobie also says that Prince William is an “ambitious” prince who wants to “rip up” the rulebook and do things “the Cambridge way” when he becomes King, suggesting a potential rift between him and his father, King Charles.

The author also claims that William believes his brother has been brainwashed by an “army of therapists”.

A source close to the future King said: “He feels he has lost Harry and doesn’t want to know this version of him.”

Another source claimed that William “ignored” Harry after the Queen’s death, adding: “He clearly didn’t want to see his brother.”

In 2021, Harry and Meghan alleged that a racially insensitive comment was made about Archie’s skin colour by a senior member of the Royal Family.

Mr Scobie claims in his book that King Charles is the only person to have addressed the alleged conversation.

The silence from other royals “has caused a lot of confusion and upset”, a source close to the family says in the book.
