Russian strikes on Kharkiv have not weakened in recent days. And according to several media from the two warring countries, incl Kyiv PostMoscow recently used a particularly devastating weapon to carry out its bombing of the city: namely a rocket bomb called the Grom-E1, which the mayor of Ukraine's second city mentioned on Telegram.

This is a sophisticated weapon created using a Soviet Kh-38 air-to-surface missile. It combines the characteristics of both a missile and an aerial bomb, which would give it the status of the most powerful equipment of its type available to the Russian forces.

The Grom-E1, which has already been used several times since February 2022, was presented for the first time in 2015 in Moscow at the international exhibition of aeronautical and military technologies. It can be deployed via Russian-made aircraft such as the MiG-35, Su-34, Su-35, Su-57 or even certain helicopters. Its maximum range is 120 km.

NEWSPAPER Look it also states that the Grom-E1, which means “thunder” in German, is equipped with a jet engine capable of carrying various types of warheads with an explosive charge of up to 350 kg.
