After Universal Hydrogen, in Blagnac, was put into compulsory liquidation, the caterer contracted by the company took large sums directly from the employees' bank accounts. The amounts vary from a few hundred euros to over 1,000 euros.
As if being fired for bankruptcy wasn't enough, former Universal Hydrogen employees had the unpleasant surprise of finding themselves paying a debt from their employer. From his account, a first withdrawal of 600 euros was made, and a second one of 200 euros is pending. “We were charged three months of unpaid debts. I objected, I hope it doesn't happen,” whispers the former employee, who assures that some colleagues had charges of over 1,000 euros.
Reimbursement by banks
The question arises of the legality of such a method. The former employees themselves do not know whether the service provider had the right to make these withdrawals.
