The independent candidate in the US presidential elections, Robert F. Kennedy Jr, the heir to the famous political dynasty, announced on Friday, August 23, that he will “suspend” his campaign and support the Republican candidate Donald Trump against the Democrat Kamala Harris.
“I'm simply suspending my campaign”
RFK Jr., a scion considered eccentric by most of the Kennedy clan, strongly criticized the Democratic Party in a speech, citing three causes, including free speech and the war in Ukraine, for his decision to “run as an independent and now to give (his) support for President Trump.”

“I'm simply suspending my campaign,” he said, noting that his name will remain on the ballot except for about ten states where elections will be held.
