The 2024 Nissan X-Trail lineup has expanded to include an off-road-inspired N-Trek variant, returning for the first time in five years.
Nissan last sold the X-Trail N-Trek in 2019, then based on the previous-generation SUV; the company has also previously offered other N-Trek badged models such as the Patrol, Pathfinder and Navara.
As before, the Nissan X-Trail N-Trek will be available with either front- or all-wheel drive, priced from $47,290 and $50,390 before on-road costs respectively.
X-Trail N-Trek models will arrive in Australian dealerships later this month.
The front-wheel drive version is exclusively available with five seats, while the all-wheel drive X-Trail is fitted with seven seats across three rows.
Its equipment is largely based on the Nissan X-Trail ST-L, though with the addition of dark-finish exterior trim pieces – such as the grille surround, lower front bumper, mirrors, door handles and roof rails – as well as a unique set of 18-inch wheels and LED fog lights in the front bumper.
Inside, there’s new water-resistant synthetic leather upholstery, as well as a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.8-inch head-up display from the better-equipped X-Trail Ti.
A choice of five single-tone exterior paint colours and three two-tone finishes are available, comprising:
- Gun Metallic (single-tone)
- Diamond Black (single-tone)
- Champagne Silver (single- and two-tone)
- Ivory Pearl (single- and two-tone)
- Ceramic Grey (single- and two-tone)
Powering the Nissan X-Trail N-Trek is the naturally aspirated 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine found across the SUV’s four existing grades.
Producing 135kW of power and 244Nm of torque, the petrol engine is mated to a seven-speed continuously variable transmission (CVT).
The X-Trail N-Trek isn’t available with the e-Power hybrid system offered in the ST-L, Ti and Ti-L grades.
