2025 Dodge Durango Special Editions Celebrate 20th Anniversary of Hemi V-8 Durango

  • Dodge Announces Two Special Edition Durangos, One of Which Is a Hellcat
  • The Durango Hellcat is expected to be discontinued after the 2025 model year.
  • Durango Will Be Dodge's Final Frontier for V-8s

Dodge is celebrating two decades of the Durango's Hemi V-8 engine's availability with a pair of limited-edition special editions for the 2025 model year.

One of them is – Durango SRT Hellcat Silver Bullet which includes Hellcat 6.2-liter supercharged V-8and the other is the Durango R/T 20th Anniversary, which comes with a standard 5.7-liter V-8 engine.

The Silver Bullet is a name that is well known to Mopar fans. It was first attached to a 1967 Plymouth Belvedere GTX, which was originally painted blue but later received the signature silver trim. The car initially served as a test mule and a marketing gimmick to help Plymouth build a reputation for performance in street racing. It was powered by a 487-cubic-inch (8.0-liter) V-8 engine and could run the quarter mile in 10 seconds.

Incredibly, the Durango SRT Hellcat Silver Bullet isn't much slower. With 710 horsepower, a quick-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive, the three-row midsize SUV hits 60 mph from a standstill in 3.5 seconds, runs the quarter mile in 11.5 seconds, and can keep going until it reaches a top speed of 180 mph.

Dodge also packs a lot of the Durango’s available features as standard equipment.

The 20th Anniversary of the Durango R/T It features a black hood, 20-inch wheels with a Brass Monkey finish, Brembo brakes with black calipers, and a “345” badge that references the cubic inch of its 360-horsepower, 5.7-liter V-8. The first of these was unveiled in January as 2024 Durango SRT 392 AlcHemi.
