Mini has released full details for its petrol- and electric-powered Cooper three-door hatch after pricing was released online earlier this week.
The entire range is due here in the third quarter of 2024.
The Mini Cooper range actually consists of two different but very similarly styled vehicles: a petrol-powered version on an updated version of the existing platform, and an electric model on a new platform developed with GWM.
They’re both marketed under the Mini Cooper name, however, petrol models wear the C and S nameplates while electric models are christened E and SE.

All Mini Cooper models are front-wheel drive.

Cooper S
The Mini Cooper C uses a turbocharged 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine, mated with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, producing 115kW of power and 230Nm of torque.
It has a claimed 0-100km/h time of 7.7 seconds.
The Mini Cooper S uses a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine producing 150kW of power and 300Nm of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch auto and good for a claimed 0-100km/h time of 6.6 seconds.
The Mini Cooper E features a single front-mounted electric motor with 135kW and 290Nm, good for a 0-100km/h time of 7.3 seconds.
The Mini Cooper SE also has a single-motor front-wheel drive layout, but its electric motor produces 160kW and 330Nm. It has a claimed 0-100km/h time of 6.7 seconds.
Efficiency
The 2025 Mini Cooper E has a 41kWh battery, giving it 305km of range on the WLTP cycle. The Cooper SE upgrades to a 54kWh battery with 403km of WLTP range.
Fuel economy figures for the Cooper C and S aren’t yet available.
Dimensions
The Mini Cooper C and S measure 3876mm long, 1744mm wide and 1432mm tall on a 2495mm wheelbase.
The Mini Cooper E and SE measure 3858mm long, 1756mm wide and 1460mm tall on a 2526mm wheelbase.
Boot space is 210L in all models, expanding to 725L in the C and S and 800L in the E and SE.
Servicing and Warranty
The Mini Cooper range is backed by a five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty.
Servicing prices have yet to be announced.
Safety
The new Mini Cooper models have yet to be assessed by ANCAP or Euro NCAP.
