There is no doubt that there is energy in the lagoon.
As is known, at the weekend, a number of elderly people, young people and even children gather to sing or dance at the Plaza de Armas.
When evening and night fall, hundreds of residents in the area gather there. They also eat snacks that they sell such as elotes, chips and traditional celis or root water.
Last weekend, men and women gave their best, but one grandmother received the applause.
It was an 85-year-old woman known as “Chalita”, who danced very well to the rhythm of the song they played for her.
User Sandra Montano Badillo shared a video in which “Chalita” is seen dancing with another Lagunero named Miguel Compéan as the song Los vergelitos is heard.
The grandmother's energy is evident and inspires envy among young people, according to some of the comments posted on the video.
“Her name must be giving me cramps right now,” “God keeps giving her that health and energy” and “What a beautiful energy she has to have to reach that age and with her health,” were some of the comments she received.
In May 2022, another Lagunera grandmother went viral after she was caught dancing in Plaza Mayor during Julión Álvarez's event. Her name is Malicha and she is from the Jacarandas neighborhood.
