Around 6:15 amthe local police were the first to communicate with the Integrated Emergency Care Centre 112 Galicia. This centre also received several calls describing the same scenario: a head-on collision between two vehicles, in which one person was seriously injured.
To deal with the emergency, the health services, civil protection and the fire brigade of O Morrazo were quickly mobilised. The latter had to deploy rescue teams to free one of the people involved. Despite efforts, the young man involved died from the seriousness of his injuries.

According to sources in the Civil Protection, the vehicle that caused the accident was a Porsche Cayenne, which crashed violently into an Opel Corsa. The victim, a young local sailor who had just left the Plaza de Abastos, died prematurely and tragically.
Witnesses on the scene They reported that after the crash, the occupants of the Porsche abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot to a nearby bus station, where they were eventually apprehended. The driver of the Porsche was reportedly pursued by police, apparently after evading an earlier check.
