Those who decided to leave the capital in the second half of July found themselves this Saturday with a slow traffic and delays. And the Madrid Mobility Management Center is now warning drivers through their 'X' account: “Avoid the area.”

Madrid Calle 30, the mixed economy company linked to the work and equipment area of ​​the capital's City Council, begins its summer asphalt campaign this weekend, which will cover a total area of ​​64,000 square metres, equivalent to five linear kilometres, distributed across different areas and sectors, and for which 4,000 tonnes of asphalt mixtures will be used.

He epicenter of the asphalt operation for the summer of 2024 of the capital's ring road will be located in the southeastern area. Works will be carried out on both roads over the Vallecas bridge, with road milling (on weekends in July) and agglomeration (on weekends in the first half of August).

There will be cuts on both roads as an alternativeIt is recommended to access the M-30 via Avenida Ciudad de Barcelona, ​​​​Atocha and Avenida de la Albufera.

In the northern area, interventions are being made on the service road of the M-607 towards the exit at kilometre point (KP) 9+050 (in front of the Ramón y Cajal Hospital bus stop) in a stretch of 300 metres in which milling and chipboard work is being carried out (working days in July). Cutting is being carried out on the service road in the exit direction (bus lane).

In the southwest, works are planned in the Manzanares tunnel in 2 different sectors: on the one hand, milling and agglomerating works will be carried out from PK 15+000 to 14+000 of the outer road tube. The external bypass will be cut (eastwards) and the access branch to the external bypass from Marqués de Vadillo (eastwards) will be closed.

In addition, milling and agglomeration works will be carried out on the main line of the tunnel's internal road and on the access branch to it from Plaza de Marqués de Vadillo, between PK 15+000 and 16+000.

The inner ring road (westbound), the service road of the M-30 inner carriageway and the access branch to the inner ring road from Marqués de Vadillo (westbound) will be closed.

If alternative To avoid both actions, you can drive on the outer lane of the M-30 towards the A-4 and onto the Glorieta de Pirámides.

Scheme

The milling work will be carried out at night from 9:00 p.m., with the exception of the Puente de Vallecas area and M-607, which will be carried out during the day from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The agglomerate works will in turn be carried out during the day from 07:00 to 19:00. The agglomerate season will start in the second week of July and will end in mid-August 2024.

Slow traffic

As reported to Europa Press by a spokesperson for the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT), there is currently slow traffic, exit towards, the A-1 at the Jarama Circuit, the A-3 in Fuentidueña de Tajo and the A6 in El Plantío and Las Rozas, where traffic is increasing.

In any case, the DGT indicates that traffic jams are not very bad at the moment and that no accidents have been recorded that would make traffic particularly complicated.
