Carlos Slim predicts 'good years' for Mexico's economy after meeting with Sheinbaum

After leaving the National Palace in his Mercedes Benz, and after more than three hours of meeting with President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, businessman Carlos Slim predicted “lots of potential” for the Mexican economy and “A lot of power when we start doing something with the United States.”

Accompanied by Francisco Cervantes Díaz, president of the Business Coordination Council, Slim pointed out that there are many investment projects in this government.

“Mr Slim, how do you see the economy?”he was asked.

“Good, good, very interesting, with a lot of potential and a lot of power as we start to do increasingly important things with the United States,” the engineer replied.

“Are you going to participate in the railway project?”Carlos Slim was asked.

“We still don't know how it happened and all that, but a lot of private investment is coming in,” he said.

Slim and Cervantes' predictions “good years” for Mexico in economic matters. Meanwhile, Francisco Cervantes indicated that they spoke with the President regarding investments between public and private initiatives.
