Ingredients for Chicken Caesar Roll
This chicken Caesar roll is easy to put together. It's quicker with store-bought chicken and dressing, but it's much more delicious with homemade chicken. You can swap out the ingredients depending on how much prep time you have!
- Chicken breast (or cutlets): Buy boneless, skinless chicken breasts, organic if at all possible. If the chicken is not sold in patties, butterfly chicken before cooking. You can also use store-bought boiled chicken.
- Seasonings: Use garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and grated Parmesan cheese to season the chicken. Substitute regular paprika or leave out the Parmesan cheese if you prefer, but both add quite a bit of savory flavor.
- Toast: We prefer to use store-bought croutons for our Caesar roll to make it quicker to prepare!
- Roman hearts: Romaine lettuce A classic leafy green for Caesar salad, its crunch and sweet flavor enhance the salad.
- Tomatoes: We like to add cherry tomatoes for extra flavor and color inside the wrapper.

- Burrito-sized tortillas: Make sure the tortillas are at least 10 inches in diameter; smaller tortillas will not work.
Tips for making a wrap
Here are some more tips for making Caesar chicken roll at home:
- Decide which components you have time for. The fried chicken takes about 5 minutes to prep and 10 minutes to cook. The dressing takes about 10 minutes to cook. Use store-bought ingredients as needed!
- Use these wrapper folding instructions. Place the filling in the center of the tortilla with a 1-inch border. Roll up burrito-style by folding each side of the tortilla over, then rolling the bottom up. Cut the roll in half diagonally.
- Try not to overload the products. The recipe's measurements are enough to make a 10-inch burrito, but if you find there's too much filling, feel free to remove some.

For the chicken (or substitute cooked chicken/makes 3 cups ground meat; see Notes)
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (approx. 1 To 1 1/2 pounds, organic if possible), fried or patted
- 1 ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
For each chicken Caesar roll
- 1 burrito-sized tortilla (minimum 10 inches; smaller tortillas will not work)
- ½ cup minced chicken
- 1 cup chopped romaine lettuce (thoroughly washed and dried)
- 2 To 3 tablespoons Caesar dressingto taste (homemade or store bought)
- 2 cherry tomatoes (⅛ cup), chopped and drained
- ¼ cup toast
- 1 tablespoon grated or shredded parmesan cheese
- Freshly ground pepper
- Prepare the chicken (see Notes): Pat the chicken dry with paper towels, then cut it in half horizontally (if it's not already split into wings; see How to Cook Chicken Breast Using the Butterfly Technique). Sprinkle the chicken on both sides. kosher salt. Add up to ¼ teaspoon salt to ensure the chicken is fully seasoned. In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, grated Parmesan cheese, and a few grinds of black pepper. Sprinkle both sides of the chicken with the mixture. Heat the olive oil in a large nonstick skillet or cast iron skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 3 to 5 minutes per side, until browned on both sides (cook in batches if necessary). When the internal temperature reaches 165°F or the center is no longer pink, remove to a platter and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing or cutting into strips.
- Prepare the dressing: Do Caesar sauce (or use purchased one).
- Make the wrap: For each roll, place 1 serving of cooked chicken in a bowl with romaine lettuce, Caesar dressing, cherry tomatoes, croutons, and Parmesan cheese.
- Place the filling in the center of the tortilla with a 1-inch border. Roll up burrito-style by folding each side of the tortilla over, then rolling the bottom up. Cut the roll in half diagonally.
- Eat immediately. If desired, you can wrap it in parchment or wax paper for storage and refrigerate it for a few hours before serving, but it will become soggy over time. (Do not wrap it in plastic, or the film will become soggy.)
