France has become the latest target of Chinese trade retaliation following tariffs agreed in Europe on Chinese electric vehicles. LVMH, Pernod Ricard and Remy Cointreau are the most affected companies currently on the Paris Stock Exchange.
European equities, and in particular indices such as the French Cac, are not only under pressure from China at the moment as a result of the disappointment generated by the absence of new economic stimulus announcements at the time.
