Coronation Street gears up for another week of drama as Bethany Platt leaves Weatherfield, Betsy Swain's dark secret is revealed and Lauren Bolton receives heartbreaking news about her baby son Frankie.
Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) approaches Bethany (Lucy Fallon) with a job offer from a friend who is the CEO of a cosmetic surgery company. The friend wants someone to write a promotional copy for their new facility in Turkey.
Despite initially turning down the offer and telling Daniel Osborne (Rob Mallard), he convinces Bethany to change her mind. However, she is stunned when she sees Daniel and Daisy Midgley (Charlotte Jordan) hugging.
After a fruitless shopping trip, Bethany confesses to Daisy that none of the swimsuits she tried on suited her. Daisy then tells a disappointed Ryan that she will look after Bertie while Daniel drives Bethany to the airport.
Ryan expresses a desire to spend more time with Daisy and suggests moving in together as a solution. But when Daisy hesitates, Ryan accuses her of still being in love with Daniel, reports Daily Star.
Could this mean the end for Daisy and Ryan? In another storyline, Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) calls Sabrina Adetiba (Luana Santos) to the station and confesses to a serious crime. An emotional Betsy also reveals her secret to Carla Connor (Alison King).
Sergeant Lisa Swain (Victoria Myers) arrives at the factory where Betsy blurts out everything, causing Lisa to insist that they go to the police station. But what did Betsy do?
Dee Dee and Lisa watch in horror as Joel Dearing (Calum Lill) hands Carla a letter starting a libel case against her. Meanwhile, Lauren Bolton (Kate Fitton) receives a potentially helpful visitor while in hospital.
Max Turner (Paddy Beaver) and Lauren are enjoying breakfast in a cafe when Lauren receives an urgent call from the hospital. Once there, the doctor informs a terrified Lauren that Frankie has had a seizure and is being taken for a scan.
At the hospital, Dee Dee accompanies Lauren to a meeting with a social worker, who explains that she will be kept under observation due to an ongoing investigation into her attempted abortion.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
