David consolidated himself in the 2nd round while Cidade and Amom competed for places

Current mayor and re-election candidate David Almeida (Avante) leads the general election for the position of city chief executive, while Roberto Cidade (União Brasil) and Amom Mandel (Cidadania) are vying for a spot in the second round.

This scenario emerged after new research from the Northern Research Institute (Ipen) was released this Monday (23).

In the spontaneous method, David holds 27.1% of voting intentions, followed by Roberto Cidade with 11.8%. In third place, Amom Mandel obtained 11.5%; while Captain Alberto Neto appeared in fourth place with 8.5%.

In the stimulated scenario, David Almeida also leads the voting intentions with 32.8%, while Roberto Cidade has 17.6%. Next, Amom obtains 17.4%, followed by Capitão Alberto Neto, with 12.9%.

In both scenarios, Roberto Cidade tied with Amom Mandel because his margin of error was 3.09%.

The institute interviewed 1,000 people, between September 17 and 20, 2024, and is registered with the TSE under the number: AM-006837/2024.
