The Israeli forces' action, on Friday (20), was considered the deadliest attack since 2006, in the war between the country and Hezbollah – a Lebanese political and paramilitary organization.
Ibrahim Aquil, the second-in-command of the Lebanese group's military, was among those killed. So far, 68 people have been injured, and 15 remain hospitalized. Another 23 are missing.
The move by the country led by Benjamin Netanyahu was a response to the Lebanese group firing some 140 rockets towards northern Israel. The attacks carried out by the extremist group came after pagers and walkie-talkies used by Hezbollah fighters were blown up this week, according to Israeli authors.
