After having high expectations heading into the 2023 NFL season, disaster struck the Cleveland Browns when the team's two best offensive players suffered season-ending injuries.

Superstar running back Nick Chubb suffered a serious knee injury after playing just two games for the Browns, while star quarterback Deshaun Watson was only able to play in six games before his season was officially over due to injury.

It seemed like doom and gloom in Cleveland after losing its two best offensive weapons, but somehow, this team was able to hang in there and push forward as the defense stepped up with Myles Garrett leading the way and veteran Joe Flacco was finally able to shoulder the load under center.

The Browns were still able to make the NFL playoffs last season and looked like they had a chance to go deep in the postseason, but the upstart Houston Texans, led by rookie phenom CJ Stroud, proved to be too much to handle in the first round, resulting in an early exit for Cleveland.

Fortunately for the Browns, Watson is back to full strength and ready to get back to work, and he's already showing some promise by connecting with veteran newcomer Jerry Jeudy on this deep pass in Sunday's practice via News 5 Cleveland's Camryn Justice.

Although Chubb is still recovering from the devastating knee injury he suffered last season, the team gets an offensive boost with the addition of Jeudy to the receiving corps, as he and Amari Cooper could become a solid duo on the field.

It will be interesting to see if Jeudy makes a big difference in the passing game and if the Browns' offense becomes a force to be reckoned with during the 2024 campaign with a healthy Watson under center.
