At least 35 people have been killed in a new Israeli attack on a refugee camp in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, as reported by the Palestinian Health and Emergency Services.
The bombing took place in the Tel Al-Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafah, where thousands of people took refuge after fleeing eastern parts of the city following Israel's ground offensive that intensified two weeks ago. as reported by Reuters.
The International Committee of the Red Cross has said its field hospital in Rafah is hosting a large number of casualties, as are other hospitals in the area.
The Red Crescent also indicated in X that its ambulance teams transported a large number of victims and that the attack took place near the United Nations headquarters. He also recalled that “the place was designated as a humanitarian zone by the Israeli occupation and civilians were forced to move there.” “Currently, scores of people are still trapped under the flames and in the shops destroyed by the bombings,” he added.
