A drunk sergeant from the Pará Military Police (PMPA) was arrested after being involved in a traffic accident while teaching a woman how to drive in a company vehicle.
The case occurred on Icoaraci beach, in Belém (PA). Images circulating on social media show the vehicle on the sidewalk, next to three fallen motorcycles. The soldier was finally arrested in action, last Saturday (14).
According to witnesses, the police officer was drunk and teaching a woman how to drive his assigned battalion vehicle. The vehicle hit three motorcycles, as well as a street vendor's drink cart.
The unidentified woman was still involved in an argument with another person after the accident. Military police officers responded to the scene and arrested the officer, who is believed to be a sergeant and resisted arrest.
In a note, the PMPA informed that one of the company's police officers was “detained in Icoaraci for violations and will be handed over to the Company's Internal Affairs Department to undergo the relevant legal procedures.”
