EastEnders Enthusiasts believe they have identified the person who sent Linda Carter (played by Kellie Bright) a disturbing letter.
Linda has been in turmoil since Christmas, when she killed Keanu Taylor (played by Danny Walters). As viewers will remember, Linda stepped in and stabbed Keanu to stop him from killing Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).
Although Keanu was no longer a physical threat, his death did not mark the end of their ordeal. The remaining members of the Six – Kathy Beale, Suki Panesar, Denise Fox and Stacey Slater – helped cover up the murder by disposing of Keanu’s body in a cafe on Bridge Street.
In true soap opera style, his body was eventually found under the floorboards. However, the women managed to get away with the crime by framing Linda's rapist, Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo), for Keanu's murder.
This week in the soap, Linda, who has started drinking again, is left in disarray after Dean's partner Fraser proposes to her. In exchange for her retracting her statement accusing him of Keanu's murder, Dean will confess to raping Linda, reports Daily Star.
In a shocking turn of events, Linda agreed to the deal, much to the dismay of the Six. On Wednesday's (August 7) episode, Linda met with Dean's accomplice to sign a statement in exchange for Dean's confession.
The plot was heating up EastEnders when Linda Carter (played by Kellie Bright) is left at a loss after a surprise arrest disrupts her plans. Just when she thought she had the upper hand, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) swooped in with the police to arrest Fraser for blackmail, much to Linda's dismay.
The situation escalated when Linda learned that it was her own son, Johnny Carter (Charlie Saff), who tipped off the authorities in a desperate attempt to prevent her from retracting her testimony.
The drama didn't end there; as Linda was closing up the Vic for the night, she came across a chilling message. A white envelope, ominously addressed to her, lay on the table, waiting.
Inside was a note that struck fear into her heart: “I know what you did for Christmas. Liar!” The revelation sparked a furious reaction from fans, who began speculating about the identity of the mysterious messenger.
Social media was awash with theories as viewers took EastEnders A group of fans took to Facebook to voice their suspicions. One fan suggested: “Any idea who sent Linda that note? I'm with Johnny!” Others echoed the sentiment, suggesting it could be a ploy by Johnny to shock his mother into sobriety.
“It's going to be someone close. I think Johnny. Hopefully it's not her son, but maybe he did it to try to get her to sober up,” another chimed in. A third weighed in, wondering if this was an attempt by Johnny or Jack to break Linda before the trial, preventing her from testifying.
