Reaction in Gaza to the International Criminal Court decision has been mixed with some voicing disappointment that the court did not order a ceasefire.
Om Mohamed al Ostaz, displaced from Gaza city and living in a tent in Rafah, said she was “angry and frustrated”.
“We don’t want aid, we want a ceasefire and to go back to our homes,” she added.
Mohamed Abdel Al, a 57-year-old who has been displaced from Khan Younis, said he considers the ruling a “moral victory” for Palestinians but he expects Israel to “continue and intensify its attacks after the decision”.
“Even if Israel did not comply with the court decisions, it has been exposed in front of everyone,” said Israa Howeila, a 23-year-old who has been displaced from north Gaza.
